The dry transformer consists an iron core which is made by silicon steel sheet, and epoxy resin cast coil. In these two forms of epoxy resin cast coil winding, the higher voltage is the high voltage winding and the lower voltage is the low voltage winding. An insulating tube is put between the high and low voltage coils to enhance electrical insulation. Soft cushions hold the high and low voltage coils securely on the steel castings.
